The core emphasis of the Miss Tourism beauty pageant has always been to promote the host country of each year’s final. We work very closely with the government and tourist boards of our partner countries with the common goal of highlighting the region’s tourism profile and therefore benefiting the country.
Tourism is a $100 billion industry and our aim is to help host countries attract both domestic and international tourists, as well as foreign investment and expenditure in the current difficult global tourism market.
Miss Tourism and its parent company, the Tourism World Organisation, have had the honour of receiving a number of tourism awards from countries such as Colombia, Thailand and Russia for our work in the tourism sector.
Not only do we extensively champion the tourism of the host country through the Miss Tourism pageant, we also aim to promote each country competing. Each contestant is not only undeniably beautiful in her own right but she is also elected as a Tourism Ambassador for her country, poised to showcase her nation and its culture and traditions.
